Tiling St Kilda is a residential tiling business working in St Kilda and the surrounding bayside suburbs. Most of what we do is renovation work — one bathroom, one kitchen, one floor at a time — in homes and flats that are still lived in while the job runs.

How we work

Preparation, waterproofing, tiling and materials are listed separately, so you can see what the price is made of and where it would change.

Preparation before tiling

Substrates checked and levelled, falls screeded, membrane cured. It is the part of the job nobody sees and the part that decides how the tiling holds up.

Alignment and finishing

Set-out from a datum line, cuts kept off the sight lines, consistent joint widths, corners detailed rather than filled with grout.

A tidy site

Floors protected, offcuts and waste removed, and the room cleaned back at the end of each day. In apartments we work with building access and noise hours rather than around them.

Local knowledge that matters on site

Working the same set of suburbs means the housing stock is familiar. Interwar flats around St Kilda and Elwood often have timber floors that need sheeting before a tiled bathroom will hold.
